Nasal breathing is an important part of child development

Nasal breathing:
* directly affects the proper development of the upper and lower jaw (maxilla and mandible)
* the physiological position of the tongue
* normal expansion of the chest
* effective functioning of the diaphragm
* balance of the autonomic nervous system.

In children who breathe through their mouth, the breathing pattern changes, postural disorders may develop, and the structure of the jaw and the mechanics of the chest can be affected together. Therefore, breathing is not only a topic for ENT (otolaryngology); it is an important area of development that intersects pediatrics, dentistry, and chest mechanics.

Every proper nasal breath is an opportunity for a child's healthy growth. As parents, it is very important to observe how our children breathe and to consult a specialist in time.
